Bear the Cross After Jesus

  1. ”Now as they led Him away, they laid hold of a certain man, Simon a Cyrenian, who was coming from the country, and on him they laid the cross that he might bear it after Jesus.“ Luke‬ ‭23‬:‭26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬‬‬‬
    1. We could say this was the first one to pick up the cross!
    2. Jesus is looking for someone to assist in the assignment
  1. ”Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.“ Matthew‬ ‭16‬:‭24‬-‭25‬ ‭NKJV‬‬‬‬
    1. What a privilege to be called to bear His cross
    2. What does that even mean?
  1. ”I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.“ Galatians‬ ‭2‬:‭20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬‬‬‬
    1. It’s now Priest Jesus, Prophet Jesus, and King Jesus, now living His Will through me!
  1. Priest Jesus
