The Narrow Path
”Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.“ Matthew 7:13-14 NKJV
The ark of God’s presence is available to all
”For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13 NKJV
There are many paths even after salvation. Not meaning many paths to God, for Christ is the one way. But the way to Christ is narrow with destruction to all things that would rob us of His blessing
”But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God,“ Hebrews 10:12 NKJV
Believers have choices everyday whether or not we will stay close to Jesus
”Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people.” Therefore “Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.” II Corinthians 6:14-17
Church – ”And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.“ Hebrews 10:24-25 NKJV
Luke 21:25-36 – choice to watch
Many paths! There is a path to provision! A path to health, a path to freedom and deliverance and peace, a path to good relationships, a path to Gods very best
Every path must start with Christ and end with Christ!
”But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.“ Matthew 6:33
Choice to allow distractions
We will do what we value
Choice to discipline ourselves
Are you gonna choose the path of least resistance?
”Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.“ Matthew 16:24-25
”Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.“ II Timothy 3:12 NKJV
The road to God’s best is narrow!
Ultimate salvation is through one man-narrow!
The mind set is opposed to a worldly mindset. No compromise! Narrow!
Compromise-A settlement of differences in which each side makes concessions.
Anything that gets in the way must be removed
Ephesus-”Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.“ Revelation 2:4 NKJV
Pergomos-”Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth.“ Revelation 2:16 NKJV
Sardis-”“And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, ‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God. Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.“ Revelation 3:1-3 NKJV
Laodicia-”“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.“ Revelation 3:15-16 NKJV
