The Anointing! Needed for Serving!
“But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat, and fastened on his hand. So when the natives saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, “No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he has escaped the sea, yet justice does not allow to live.” But he shook off the creature into the fire and suffered no harm.” Acts 28:3-5
God has called all humanity to walk in the supernatural.
The anointing makes the difference. It separates Gods people from the world.
The devil hates those marked with Gods anointing.
What is the anointing?
Anointing is the burden removing and yoke breaking power of God. Anointing is what empowers a man or a woman to function supernaturally. Anointing is that which enables you to do supernatural things.
God’s ability on your inability
Exodus 30:25. “And you shall make from these a holy anointing oil, an ointment compounded according to the art of the perfumer. It shall be a holy anointing oil. With it you shall anoint the tabernacle of meeting and the ark of the Testimony;”
Anointing oil was used to set apart unto God as holy
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 NKJV
“Now it is in my heart to make a covenant with the Lord God of Israel, that His fierce wrath may turn away from us.”. II Chronicles 29:10 NKJV
The anointing covers us and keeps Gods wrath from us. It marks us! It is the oil!
“that no flesh should glory in His presence.” I Corinthians 1:29 NKJV
“Therefore the wrath of the Lord fell upon Judah and Jerusalem, and He has given them up to trouble, to desolation, and to jeering, as you see with your eyes. For indeed, because of this our fathers have fallen by the sword; and our sons, our daughters, and our wives are in captivity. “Now it is in my heart to make a covenant with the Lord God of Israel, that His fierce wrath may turn away from us. My sons, do not be negligent now, for the Lord has chosen you to stand before Him, to serve Him, and that you should minister to Him and burn incense.”. II Chronicles 29:8-11 NKJV
Prophet and kings were anointed for service!
Also, anoint Jehu son of Nimshi king over Israel, and anoint Elisha son of Shaphat from Abel Meholah to succeed you as prophet.
“and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” Revelation 1:6 NKJV
2 Kings 2 Elisha Desired a double portion of Elijah’s anointing.
Duet 21:7 says, “he shall acknowledge the firstborn … by giving him a double portion of all that he has, for he is the firstfruits of his strength. The right of the firstborn is his.” The firstborn son was to receive twice as much of an inheritance as any other son in the family
“But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.” IJohn 2:20
1 John 2:27 the anointing you have received from him
“I have found My servant David; With My holy oil I have anointed him, With whom My hand shall be established; Also My arm shall strengthen him. The enemy shall not outwit him, Nor the son of wickedness afflict him. I will beat down his foes before his face, And plague those who hate him. “But My faithfulness and My mercy shall be with him, And in My name his horn shall be exalted.” Psalms 89:20-24
“It shall come to pass in that day That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, And his yoke from your neck, And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.” Isaiah 10:27
