How to not Yield to Temptation

  1. “He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.” Proverbs‬ ‭28‬:‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬‬‬

    1. “And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.” Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

  1. A key to not yielding or being led into temptation is prayer!
    1. Prayer is an act of humility declaring our need for His power
    2. I can’t do it/my best isn’t good enough is being spoken when we pray and then deliverance from temptation will come
    3. “And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, “God is tempting me.” God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else. Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death.” James‬ ‭1‬:‭13‬-‭15‬ ‭NLT‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

  1. The simplicity of the gospel is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ the complexity of the gospel is simply to just believe! This is how we overcome! To be as children!
